As part of the annual Navan Fair parade, the 50-Horse Hitch travelled through the Village of Navan, entering the Guinness Book of World Records. As stated in the book and certificate, “Willard McWilliams of Navan, Ontario, Canada drove fifty horses in a single hitch at the 50^th Navan Fair on August 13, 1995. The lead horses were on reins 168 feet long.” Officials from the Guinness Book of World Records and the British Broadcasting Corporation attended to witness and document the occasion.

The Hitch and the 50th Navan Fair Parade created a memorable and historical event for the residents of Navan, and the CTAS Navan Fair in celebrating agricultural excellence and community spirit.
