Rules & Regulations

1. Junior and senior exhibitors must purchase a 2026 Exhibitor Membership prior to the Fair in order to exhibit.  Please refer to the membership section for prices. Payment must accompany the entry form via Assist Expo.  Exhibitors that have not purchased a 2026 exhibitor membership will not be permitted to exhibit. Exhibitors who have shown in 2025 and have had a membership deducted from payouts will not need to pay membership for 2026 but must still register.
2. Lead Line and Pee Wee exhibitors do not require a paid 2026 membership, however, entries must be submitted.
3. When registering with AssistExpo, you must select  #1 if you are already a member and your fee has been paid with a deduction from winnings of the previous year or #4 if you would like to become an exhibitor member and pay by PayPal.

     The only two (2) options acceptable in type/category of membership is EXHIBITOR.

4. Lead Line and Pee Wee exhibitors must include their age when registering their entries in Assist Expo.
5. An entrance gate pass will be sent to exhibitors once entries have been paid and received.
6. Entry fees will be deducted at the rate of 10% from all prize money and mailed out after the event, with your winnings from 2026.
7. Exhibitors (riders) can only show 2 (two) horses per class.
8. In order to show, entries must be submitted with payment no later than Monday, August 3, 2026 – no exception. If memberships are paid, entries are still required (refer to 1 above).

9. On the day of the show, competitors must register with the Director before 9:00 am.
10. All exhibitors must show proof of $2,000,000.00 liability insurance coverage and proof of vaccination. ALL horses must have up to date vaccines within the last year (365 days); vaccines MUST include EHV 1 & 4 (Equine Influenza Virus – Flu/Rhino).
11. Directors reserve the right to adjust the payout if needed.
12. No interference or complaints to the Judge or Directors by any exhibitors will be allowed. Judges and Directors decisions are final.
13. Proper western riding attire is required; Western Hat or Helmet (regular or hard), Western Shirt and boots with a heel.
14. Except for Lead Line or Peewee, horses may only enter once in a class; a family owned horse can be shown twice in Lead line or Peewee.
15. Either, chute starts or option to circle before the timer are both acceptable. (Gates will be closed at the end of the chute once the rider has fully entered the ring and will be opened once horse and rider are at a full stop)
16. One minute rule applies to enter the ring and start the timer.

• Although equine vaccinations (excluding the mandatory Flu-Rhino Vx) and negative Coggins Test results are not required for horse entries, the CTAS recommends that exhibitors have all horses fully vaccinated and Coggins tested for the protection of themselves, their horses and other exhibitors.
• Animals showing signs of contagious diseases or parasitic infections, e.g. influenza, ringworm, lice, etc., will not be allowed on the grounds.  If a veterinary check is required, it will be at the expense of the exhibitor and the veterinary ‘s decision is final.
• In addition, the CTAS recommends that all animals have proof of Rabies Immunization a minimum of 30 days prior to the show in order to comply with O. Reg. 497/17, which is in effect as of July 1st, 2019.

Lead-line division	8:30 to 9:30 am
OPEN WARM-UP (to follow after lead-line division)	9:30 to 10:15 am
PeeWee/ Junior/ Senior divisions to start (order of events listed below)	10:30 to 4:00 pm

• Placing will be adjusted depending on the number of horses.
• PeeWee and Juniors 2D – all classes are 1 second + 2 seconds.
• Seniors’ 2D Barrels and Poles are 1 second + 1 second.
• Seniors’ 2D Dash, Stake and Flag are 1/2 second + 1/2 second

Placings will be paid out to 5th place in PeeWee, Junior, and Senior classes, winnings will be sent by cheque via mail. All Lead Line participants will receive cash payout day of show, directly following Lead Line classes.

Participants must be on lead throughout the pattern while accompanied by a responsible adult.
