Ambassador Benefits

• The program focuses on leadership, public speaking, and a myriad of learning opportunities designed to offer a unique opportunity for youth to learn and grow in our community with the support of the Cumberland Township Agricultural Society (CTAS) Board of Directors.
• The Navan Fair Ambassador plays a special role in all aspects of the Navan Fair, such as presenting ribbons and awards and riding in the Parade. All of which culminate in the fantastic opportunity to have fun representing The CTAS and the Navan Fair, once crowned for the following year.
• Represent our Navan Fair at community events and ceremonies throughout the year.
• Earn student volunteer hours.
• Post-secondary/employment recommendation letter is available from the President on behalf of the Board of Directors.
• The opportunity to compete in the ambassadors of the fairs competition held at the Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto.
• Represent the CTAS at the Ontario Associations of Agricultural Societies (OAAS) convention, sitting in on discussions and attending networking opportunities.
• The chance to meet new people and develop friendships that will last a lifetime!

Applicant Rules

• Must be between the ages 17 and 25. Required to be at least 18 or older by the date of the 2027 OAAS convention (February 18, 2027)
• Must be available and willing to go and represent the CTAS and Navan Fair at other fairs in District 1
• Must be available to represent the CTAS and Navan Fair at the annual Ontario Association of Agricultural
  Societies Convention in February
• Must be available to attend other community events held throughout the year
• Must have a passion for agriculture and willing to speak publicly
